Parts are ejected; scrap is removed.

Reference figures

What to expect.

Typical industry values to help you plan. We agree the figures for your part on the drawing.

Angles±1°Typical
Repeatability±0.10 mm±0.05 mm typical
Burr¼–⅓ of wallOn one side
Volume10,000s – millionsPer die
MaterialsMild and high-strength steel, stainless, aluminium, brass, copper and spring steel.
FinishesAs stamped; plated, painted or powder coated; tool marks minimised by design.
Design guidance
  • Add radii and relief cuts to avoid splits.
  • Keep holes away from bends and edges.
  • Dimension inside formed features.
Best suited toBrackets, clips, contacts, shields and washers.
Watch-outsDie cost suits volume only; thickness changes across drawn features.
