Architectural cladding tooling · Returns and reveals

Return and reveal tooling for cladding panels.

Tooling for window reveals, deep returns and corner units on precast and GRC cladding, where the texture has to wrap cleanly round the arris.

Overview

Returns and reveals, in plain terms.

Textured cladding panel with surface wrapping cleanly into a reveal
Texture continuing neatly around a panel reveal

Where a textured face turns a corner or runs into a window reveal, the texture has to wrap without a visible break or change.

We build liners that turn the corner as one piece, or split where the architect agrees a line.

What sets it apart

Four things that define this route.

01

Wrapped texture

Texture continuous round the arris.

02

Deep reveals

Window reveals cast integral with the panel.

03

Corner units

L-shaped panels for building corners.

04

Consistent arris

Sharp or chamfered, as specified.

How we build it

From pattern to released tool.

The pattern includes the return, so the liner is one continuous surface.

For L-shaped units we design the liner and support so the vertical leg stays stable during casting.

The honest bit

What to know before you commit.

Deep returns on thin panels can be tricky to demould. We'll talk through draft and release early.

We draw the layout with you so repeats, joints and returns line up before any liner is made.

FAQs

Questions we hear about this.

Can texture wrap into a reveal?

Yes, with a one-piece liner.

Chamfer or sharp arris?

Either — chamfers are more robust.

Get in touch

Send us a photograph of the panel or the elevation.

One photograph tells us what surface you're chasing, and one line about the mix tells us what silicone or polyurethane will survive it.
