Architectural cladding tooling · Sandwich panel face tooling

Face tooling for insulated sandwich panels.

Formliners and edge tooling for the outer leaf of insulated precast sandwich panels, where the face is architectural and the build-up is structural.

Overview

Sandwich panel face tooling, in plain terms.

Face tooling arranged for sandwich panel casting

Sandwich panels are cast face-down in layers: outer leaf, insulation, inner leaf. The formliner is at the bottom and has to survive everything poured on top of it.

We build liners that stay flat under the full build-up and edge tooling that forms the outer leaf's returns cleanly.

What sets it apart

Four things that define this route.

01

Face-down casting

Liners stable under the full panel weight.

02

Outer leaf returns

Clean returns that hide the insulation line.

03

Splices on joints

Planned against the elevation.

04

Repeatable set-up

Labelled liners for panel types.

How we build it

From pattern to released tool.

Liners are backed and bonded so they don't creep during the multi-stage pour.

We coordinate with your connector and insulation layout so nothing clashes with the liner.

The honest bit

What to know before you commit.

Connector design is yours. We'll make sure our tooling doesn't get in its way.

FAQs

Questions we hear about this.

Does the liner cope with the dwell time?

Yes, if specified for it. Tell us the full casting sequence.

Can returns be textured?

Yes, as an integral part of the liner.

Send us a photograph of the panel or the elevation.

One photograph tells us what surface you're chasing, and one line about the mix tells us what silicone or polyurethane will survive it.
